BY RICK LASKY It wasn’t too long ago that I thought that all of the customer service pushing and shoving going on was not something in which I was interested as a firefighter. It wasn’t what I envisioned as part of a firefighter’s job. I didn’t really remember my dad doing it years ago when he was a firefighter in a southwest suburb of Chicago.
